Are the new panoramas dimmable from a controller or just manually?

Originally from ticket #652.

I've got a Neptune Apex and want to use it to get a dawn/dusk effect, would that be possible with the new Panorama Pro Fixtures? I've got 5 Panorama Pros between my other two tanks and am looking at purchasing 2 x 24" fixtures to cover my Solana XL 67.

Dear Michaeltwiley,

Thank you so much for contacting Ecoxotic and showing interest in our LED products.

Yes, connecting our Panorama Pro LED fixtures to the APEX system is actually quite easy. There are two methods, one is simply using Meanwell Drivers (which we sell), the other is by using a 0-10V PWM interface.

Please let us know if you have any further questions.

Sincerely,
The Ecoxotic Team

Would the Meanwell drivers be in place of the power supplies? or am I misunderstanding something? Also which Meanwel drivers would you recommend? and where would I be able to find a 0-10V PWM interface and is there one you recommend?

The Meanwell Drivers are the easiest way to have them work with the APEX controller. The APEX controller does not have any PWM dimmer capabilities (that we know of), so you can either:

1. Switch the included drivers with the Meanwell Dimmable LED drivers (ELN60-24D, our Item#6809) -or-
2. Use a 0-10V PWM controller like this:

We have used the 0-10V/PWM controllers for connecting our Cannon LED pendants to Crestron Home Automation systems. They work well, but the Meanwell Driver will likely work much better for you.

Sincerely,
The Ecoxotic Team

    Hi!

I have a similar/same question as above- I have purchased two 24" panorama LED's with the plug in dimmers.  AWESOME lights BUT I want to run everything for my SW tank with an APEX controller.  Can I make these lights work in full compatibility with the Apex (i.e. sunrise/sunset dimming, T storms, etc) by meanwell or other solution or are the LEDs and controller just not compatible??  Thanks!

    Gus
