14Gallon Biocube - Anemone

Originally from ticket #875.

Hey there,
I've heard great reviews of your LED's from many people and I am planning on purchasing them. I am running a 14 gallon biocube with the stock pc lighting, however, I'd like to upgrade shortly.

I have a bunch of LPS that does just fine under the PC but I also just added an anemone to my tank about a month and a half ago. He seems to be doing fine, however, I want to make sure everything is growing at an optimum rate. I have failed miserably growing polyps aside from some GSP.

I plan on removing my PC's and I would like to know what you would recommend for my tank.

Thanks!
Travis McNulty

Dear Travismcnulty,

Thank you so much for contacting Ecoxotic and showing interest in our LED products. Please review the following blog post:

The only change to your tank - you may want to substitute the 8K/453nm Blue Stunner LED strip and use a 12K White/445nm Blue Panorama Pro module. This will give you a higher amount of light for the anemone you would like to keep. Under this scenario, you would be able to keep even mid-level SPS corals if you desire.

Please let us know if you have any further questions.

Sincerely,
The Ecoxotic Team
