Originally from ticket #340.
I was considering retrofitting my Nanocube 12 canopy with a strip of your Panorama Pro LED modules.
I have a question about how you keep your LED cool. I don't see any fan or a heat sink on the strip.
How do your LED stays cool so that it doesn't burn out faster than it should?
Thanks in advance.
Thank you so much for contacting Ecoxotic and showing interest in our products.
When installed correctly, the LEDs are connected directly to the reflector - which acts as an additional heat sink. In most applications, a cooling fan is not required. Also, most all of our products feature an internal thermal switch - so if they get hot where the LED is degrading, they will automatically blink as an indication you need more cooling/ventilation.
