do you have pictures comparing how a certain coral appears under 453nm, 453+magenta and some of the rgb variations. I'm trying to decide which units to purchase for mainly looks. in addition to the lighting for growth that I have already. Also I read a review of the rgb unit on marine depot, that was not happy that it won't remember your favorite color setting when using a timer. Is there a work around for this?
Dear Mr. McDonald,
Thank you for contacting Ecoxotic and showing interest in our LED products.
Each species of coral fluoresces in a different manner under different wavelength of light and unfortunately we do not have the resources (or the collection of corals) to photograph them all under each wavelength of light independently.
As a suggestion, visit our Flickr gallery as we have many photos of corals under our different LED strips:
Regarding the RGB module - the unit does have a memory, it sounds like maybe a Marine Depot customer simply got a defective controller.
