Hi, I have a 90 Gallon reef tank that I am about to start putting in corals. I am looking into your lighting systems and wonder what you would recomend for my tank. I want to do some soft and even a few lps corals. My tank is 48"x24"x18" (lxhxw). What would you suggest for the best setup? Thanks for your time.

Jason

Dear Jason,

Thank you for contacting Ecoxotic and showing interest in our LED products. We would be more than happy to help recommend an LED lighting system for you - could you tell us whether you have a canopy or no canopy? Did you want to hang the fixture, or attach it directly to the aquarium?

Sincerely,
The Ecoxotic Team

As of right now I have an open top tank with a 4-bulb T-5 fixture sitting on top. I am planning on building a canopy but don't want to build it till I know if I need a full canopy or a false canopy with just front and sides and then to hang the light fixture/fixtures. So I guess I am flexible either way. I would prefer to hide the lights but I am willing to have them showing if it is going to be the best set up for our fish and corals. Thanks again for your time.

Dear Jason,

Thank you for contacting Ecoxotic and showing interest in our LED products.

For your size aquarium with LPS corals, we would recommend using 5 of our Panorama Pro LED Modules. You could quite easily use 3 of the 12K White/445nm Blue modules and 2 of the 445nm Blue modules - this would provide dawn/dusk control and provide plenty of light for your LPS corals. They are designed to attach directly to your canopy and are quite easy to install.

Please let us know if you have any further questions.

Sincerely,
The Ecoxotic Team
